Tennant Introduces Nobles® Speed Scrub® (17-20 inch) Walk-Behind Scrubber
Small Battery-Powered Nobles® Speed Scrub® Walk-Behind Scrubber Offers Simple, Reliable and Effective Anytime Cleaning—Every time
MINNEAPOLIS—May 3, 2007—Tennant Company (NYSE: TNC), a world leader in designing, manufacturing and marketing solutions that create a cleaner, safer world, today furthers its commitment to the Nobles brand with the introduction of the Nobles Speed Scrub 17- or 20-inch Walk-Behind Automatic Scrubber with optional FaST® technology. The new Speed Scrub is a rugged, reliable, easy-to-use commercial scrubber that leaves just-scrubbed floors clean and dry after every use. The third member of the Speed Scrub family of automatic scrubbers, the Speed Scrub 17-20 is the second to be introduced under the recently re-defined Nobles brand.
“Nobles machines are rugged, easy-to-use, and highly effective,” said Steven Coopersmith, vice president of global marketing with Tennant Company. “Like the Speed Scrub 24-32 introduced last year, the Speed Scrub 17-20, with its rugged construction, its ease of operation, and its consistent cleaning results, embodies the Nobles brand and demonstrates Tennant Company’s commitment to customers who need Tennant Company engineering and reliability at an affordable price.”
More specifically, the Speed Scrub includes non-corroding cast aluminum scrub decks and squeegee frames, a compact body design for superior maneuverability, and ergonomic controls, including an adjustable console and grip-based operation, high-traction drive wheels that ensure better machine control and increased driver safety.
Significant features of the Nobles Speed Scrub 17-20 Walk-Behind Automatic Scrubber include:
- a 1.0 horsepower brush motor combined with up to 90 pounds of pad pressure for optimized cleaning and power;
- an extremely low operating noise level of 68.5 dBA that allows for anytime cleaning in even the quietest places;
- intuitive Quick-Train™ controls that provide for easy three-step operation;
- no-tool squeegee and brush replacement that makes maintenance easy and effortless; and
- optional NFSI-certified FaST technology for higher traction floors that reduce the risk of slip-and-fall accidents while increasing productivity by 30 percent and that reduce cleaning’s environmental impact by using Green Seal-certified FaST detergents.
The Speed Scrub 17-20 walk-behind offers a 17- or 20-inch disk cleaning path. It includes a 10.5 gallon capacity solution tank and a 15 gallon recovery tank. When used with FaST technology, the Speed Scrub 17-20 provides up to 21,400-square feet of estimated actual cleaning coverage per hour. The Speed Scrub 17-20 continues the evolution of the Nobles Speed Scrub family of automatic scrubbers, which also includes the Speed Scrub 24-32, a larger walk behind scrubber with a 24-, 28-, or 32-inch disk cleaning path or a 26- and 32-inch cylindrical cleaning path; and the Speed Scrub Rider, a micro-rider with a 26- and 32-inch disk cleaning path or a 28- or 32-inch cylindrical cleaning path.
